Considering Having Your Air Ducts Cleaned?
Like your carpet, your air duct system can be a gathering place for lint, dust particles, animal dander, and other types of particles which normally occur in a home. In fact, the average 6-room house collects 40 pounds of dust per year. While all this dirt and grime gathers in your humid air ducts, serious health hazards are created, especially to those with allergies and other respiratory ailments.
The EPA has said that the average indoor air is found to be up to 70 times more polluted than the outdoor air. Because children breathe faster, inhale more air per unit of body weight, and are closer to the ground where contaminant concentrations are higher, they are much more likely to be affected by polluted indoor air.
Consider all of this, and factor in the fact that most people spend 60-90% of their time indoors, and you can easily see the importance of Collins Cleaning Systems' duct cleaning system. We use a 7-step process to insure that all dust, bacteria, and odor is removed from your air ducts. Not only does our duct cleaning drastically improve the quality of the air you breathe, it also restores capacity and efficiency to your HVAC system which lessens running time and therefore saves you money on your monthly heating and cooling bill.
Included in our 8-step duct cleaning process:
-
The system air blower is removed and cleaned (or cleaned in place where applicable) which insures it runs at its peak efficiency.
-
High volume vacuum hose is attached to your system to remove all the soil from your home's heating and ductwork system.
-
All air registers are isolated and then unsealed one at a time for cleaning which ensures the maximum airflow at the air register being cleaned.
-
Appropriate air wash equipment is then chosen for your system. Several passes are then made with the various attachments to ensure cleanliness. We then use an ultra-violet camera to completely inspect the system to ensure system-wide cleanliness.
-
The system heat exchanger and air conditioning coils are then cleaned to increase the system's efficiency, thereby reducing heating or cooling costs.
-
After registers are unsealed, they are washed by hand as are all exposed elements of the entire system.
-
After cleaning is complete and has passed inspection, we sanitize major components and the ductwork by using a sanitizer, which is safe for you and the duct system, but not for any microbial growth in the ducts.
By using our air wash cleaning system, you can be assured you are breathing the cleanest air possible in your home.
